I was born and raised in the Philippines as a child of missionaries. I count it my privilege to have been raised by a strong faith and two cultures. It was during my childhood that I learned to draw and paint. It was during my college years that I learned I could use art to communicate my feelings on canvas. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 1998, Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in Fine Arts. I currently live with my husband and three daughters in Garland, Texas.

There are three things I try to convey with my art. They are: Beauty, Goodness and Truth. The sky is one of my greatest inspirations for beauty. It is so quietly emotional and deeply moving. Letting the light and color speak is something I strive to do with my work. The paint is highly saturated as I love intense color. I find that living in Texas I see that intensity almost daily. Texas burns away the land to feed the skies. I leave a little space for the land in my work so that the viewer has a "lift off" to the open sky.

I try to convey goodness is my work by taking words such as, "Grace," "Worship," or "Faith," and putting an image to them. Sometimes in our religious culture we get so used to words like these and don't try to make them as simple and complete as possible.

The final thing I try to convey in my work is truth. When I speak of truth I am talking about the truth of God, His Word, and truth of His creation as it relates to our fallen, sinful nature. Not all truth is beautiful or good because of this fallen state but truth is necessary to understand the heart of God and relate to man. Ultimately, I believe all truth in God's truth. In this way God can use whoever and whatever means to convey that truth.

I have recently finished a five-piece series entitled, "Solas of the Reformation" for Dallas Theological Seminary. I work on commission and have been able to have my skyscapes in several private collections as well as offices. Most recently, Dallas Eye Care Associates, L.P.
